Checked Baggage
We understand that sometimes you need to bring more than just a carry-on bag, which is why we offer checked baggage options for our passengers. The number of checked bags you can bring depends on the purchased ticket and destination.
The standard checked-in baggage allowance is 2 bags of 23 Kgs each in economy class, and 3 bags of 23Kgs each in business class.
We recommend checking your baggage weight before arriving at the airport to avoid surprises. Please note that we cannot accept any single bag exceeding 23kg/50lbs in weight, irrespective of the number of luggage you’re carrying otherwise additional charges will apply.
Baggage Fees
RwandAir offers generous baggage allowances across all ticket classes and destinations. If you need to carry more than what is included in our standard baggage allowances “2 pieces of 23kgs in economy class, and 3 pieces of 23kgs in business class”, additional baggage charges will apply.
The additional baggage charges vary from one destination to another, region to region, and/or destination to region, or vice versa. The excess baggage policy will serve as the basis for rates applicable in each region to the entire network.
